One of the festival’s major highlights is the Hue Sports Festival, which will run throughout August with 19 sporting competitions held alongside other Autumn Festival events. Organized in response to the national campaign encouraging people to follow President Ho Chi Minh’s example of regular physical exercise, the sports festival aims to promote healthy lifestyles, preserve traditional sporting and cultural values, and strengthen cultural exchanges between Hue and other provinces and international communities. The event is expected to attract more than 15,000 athletes, coaches, and spectators from Vietnam and abroad. Music lovers can look forward to the highly anticipated Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026, an international heritage and music festival taking place from August 30 to September 1 at Hue City Sports Centre Square. The festival will be open free of charge to residents and tourists during the National Day holiday, making it one of the biggest public events of the season.
The centerpiece of Wonderverse Music Fest will be two spectacular concerts under the theme “City Awakening,” bringing together renowned Vietnamese and international artists for unforgettable live performances. Visitors can witness the thrilling traditional boat race on the Huong (Perfume) River, experience the energetic Hue Lion Dance Festival 2026, attend the opening ceremony of Hue City’s Sports Games, and enjoy a variety of colorful Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations taking place across the city.
